[SFRC] Scorpio Bolt Action .22s on theammosource.com

Mine came today! My bipod cost almost as much as this rifle and the scope was even more-so. Hoping to book range time this weekend if it stops snowing.

I will sell my stock to whoever wants it.

Damn that FDE matches a lot better then I'd expect on paper

Public Service Announcement: I know this should be common practice, but make sure to check all your screws and allen bolts. Mine were all loose on the shorty, but fine on the 20"
In their defense, I got a CZ in the same order and those action screws were less than 15inlbs!

Checked the two bolts which attach the gun to the stock, both were a little loose & I tightened them down a bit so they were snugger.

What other screws are you referring to smokeater40?

Have you noticed any difference in accuracy between the two.
I have only been to the range twice; both seem to be fairly accurate at 25 and 50 yrds. I can cover 10 shoot groups with a twonee. The 20" does shoot tighter groups, but I don't anticipate any problems shooting the 13" at wood hens or rabbits either. Also, the 13" only has a 1X red dot and the 20" has a 4X scope so that also makes a difference as my old eyes are not what they were..

That’s what my em332x 13” does as well with a red dot. Tried an elite 4200 6x24 scope on mine to test ammo , with ammo it likes about 1 inch at 50. Plenty accurate for hunting. Going to get a 20 “ as well, there a good deal and well built for a cheap rifle.

I welcome anyone to beat me in the level of depth on this accuracy test

6*
decent wind (blew my earmuffs off the table twice!)
For reference, my new CZ got 1.01" with S+B but costs $450 more.

I’ve tried all the above except the pistol. Plus cci mini mags, target 40 gr plus 36 gr hollow point, sk long range , eley high velocity. Blazer 40 gr, Pmc scoremaster, Remington / eley eps, federal bulk. The most consistent so far has been eley high velocity and Sk long range.

How many of each round fired before the group shown? Or in other words, did you let the barrel acclimate to the new ammo before shooting a group?
That's the biggest issue with these sort of " I have a few boxes or less of several different types of .22lr ammo comparisons." It is what it is and despite Jahn's throw down of the gauntlet, I do appreciate his efforts to post some results. Looks like the S&B grouped pretty good, I have a few thousand rounds of that ammo so that's promising.... :)

Hey Jahn, did you sell your stock? I sent you a message a few days ago after you posted about it but never heard back.... :)

What You See Is What You Get - I dont have the time, rounds, magazines, or warm weather to be able to shoot 10 foulers and then do 5x10 rd groups of each ammo. I also had to repeat this test on the same day with my CZ 457.

I don't think some fouling will take an ammo from a 2" group to a 0.4" one - clearly S+B is the way to go from here on out and I may play around with action torque or even making myself a tuner (which I mostly think are "fake").

I invite you to go the range and put that level of testing down the barrel!

I'm just happy I have as many options as I do considering my small town.

I will get back to you now. I was busy shootin' ;)

I guess you did all the work for the rest of us lol. Gonna try mine with some cci quiet this weekend.

I got mine last week, but haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, still waiting on some appropriate scope rings. I'm going to try it with a 1-6 cheapy scope from Amazon. I see they're even a bit cheaper with 15% off this weekend, but it was still a bargain when I ordered mine.

The plastic stock is actually pretty good, but I might save it for when my son outgrows the one we shortened from his, and make a trigger guard to use with the stock from my ns522. I definitely need to get the scope lower though, and might try making a set of iron sights for it too. I'll see how it shoots with the original stock first though.
