share your enfield sporterized custom rifle pics

I'd rather see a nasty bubba'd sporter that gets used every weekend than another boring safe queen.

"it's important because it's part of grandpa's history... Waaa.."

Post on!

These two are my dads (will be mine some day!). The bottom one is rather ugly, but the top one is a Parker Hale factory Sporter. Its a beautiful gun to carry and I plan on using it a bit this fall.

I had a nice no 1 like that! All it needed was front wood, barrel bands nosecap... found out that it would cost twice as much as what i paid for the rifle for the parts, so it sold :) Some enfields will just stay sportered. They will, however, continue to take big game the world over.

OP, since this went so badly wrong (not surprising in the Milsurp forum), here is one pic of a Parker Hale Supreme No.4 sporter I bought this summer. With any luck it will fill a deer tag this fall.

I tried both Winchester Super-X and Federal blue box ammo. True to my past experience, the Winchester was OK at best and the Federal was excellent. The initial 3 shot group with the Federal, just to see if it was on paper at 100yds. It measured 1.25":

Followed by a 5 shot group to confirm the first wasn't a fluke. It measured 1.88":

All shot using the ladder aperture sight at 100yds off a front rest and rear bag. Looks like the Federal will be going with me in pursuit of Bambi this year.

Thank you for being the first to get the ball rolling. Lesson learned. Milsurp is for restored, refurbished or stock guns. lol

I've got a P17 Enfield that has been rebarreled and rechambered to 375HH thats witha smith waiting to have the feed rails milled out and a new mag follower and a synthetic stock is on order. I didn't do the initial sportorization I bought it rebarreled and rechambered in a sporter wood stock. Sorry no pics when i get it finished and can buy a dig camera I'll get some up but in the sporting section:dancingbanana:

I don't know what it is but the well done sporters by PH and Churchill just look hot to me. Must be the 10 round mag and the walnut stocks. This thread has me looking for another one. I am a sick man.

regards, Darryl
