Sharing a press

Just charge a rental fee for the equipment. Charge it per day. That way they provide their own components, and if they want to leave some component at your place, you can install lockable boxes or lockers and charge them another rental fee.

Make sure they need to reserve their timeslot for reloading, so if anyone breaks stuff, it's on their dime to fix it. Either that, or charge an high enough fee to cover any repair necessary, and if someone breaks too much stuff, you stop renting your gears to him.

When you're tired of having a bunch of people using your stuff, you increase the price. At some point either you'll make so much money it'll pay more than your day job, or everyone will get it and get their own stuff.

I got started with a single stage press. i would size a bucket of brass, then flare a bucket of (pistol) brass, then fill 50 round trays with cases charged with powder.

A good used one can be had for $100.

Start that way. Best way to learn the basics. Then decide later if you want a different press.

Add your location to your profile, so some of us can volunteer to help.

It's per year. With reloading should double that I would hope!

You don't shoot high enough volume to need a progressive - you'd spend more time setting it up between the different cartridges as you would reloading.

Someone already mentioned buying a Lee Turret Classic press - that would be a good idea and all you need, and it would pay for itself quickly.

I can change my 550 from 9mm to .223 (and vice versa) in less than 5 minutes.
