Shell Caddy Choices & Opinions

I really like those FSL-8's and may order a couple and combine weak and strong hand technique. I'll have all winter to practice, lol! Price isn't really an issue, but rather getting something I'm comfortable with is. I shied away from the 4x4's cause I have fat palms and short fingers. Holding four shells and tryig to load wasn't the most comfortable thing and I think I would spend more time chasing shells than anything else. The load-2 system sounds perfect for me. With less of a learning curve, even better!

The guys at Carbon Arms are pretty awesome to deal with, :D I'm gonna order 2 FSL-2 8's and start to work up my belt over the winter. I'll set up one for weak hand and one for strong hand and practice both equally. I think that should still leave me room for 4 pistol mags, holster and 2-3 LAR mag holders. It'll be tight, but I will also be able to mix and match depending on the stage requirements as I have no intention of competing in trooper class at this time.

It will certainly be a sigh of relief to do away with the dump pouch full of random #5 shells and the 3X2 AK pouch strapped to my chest, lol!

Thanks all for your input!

I prefer 3-4 of the cheap California Competition Works plastic 4 shell holders to the metal AP Custom ones in any configuration. I grab 4 and load a pump strong hand, not the fastest method but for me it's the least likely to fumble-slow and smooth is fast in whichever way works for you.
