Sherman tank for sale at Collector source

$44k USD for a bottom of the barrel(still mostly cosmetic) T-34-85 there's a big difference between a Russian tank that was so mass produced there is exact number of how many there was produced and a not so common Sherman tank. personal i'l end up buying a t-34 one day but I can't drive it as its fairly cramped for someone over 6 foot

Don't forget to factor shipping into that. ;) Probably lots of free tanks to be had out there, trick is to get them home.

And don't forget to buy a $3.00 Chinese-made Tool Set and you're good to go repairing your tank anywhere in the world!

lol I don't even used crappy tools on cars unless I know there a chance of breaking them(wrench's in particular then I use mastercraft at least crappy tire replaces them) for tanks though I don't think anything is normal duty I have seen some of the tools used on Tank Overhaul heavy duty and even some specialized tools are needed

If you had a dozer blade or a mine plough, plus the flamethrower, it would pay for itself in the winter months as "Sherman Driveway Clearance". Just get a teenager to do it for minimum wage.

I'm pretty sure it's CAROL and besides the postal truck at the Toronto CNE I saw it do in a hydro workers' truck in Perth, Ontario in 1995. The owner/driver at the time (now passed away unfortunately) was legally blind, but could see a little bit through coke bottle thick glasses. At the end of a VE Day anniversary parade he was maneuvering CAROL in the hydro compound for storage until the float arrived to take her home. His ground guide was his wife (an elderly lady that had no formal training in that particular skill). Between the glasses, the arm waving ground guide and the communication problems (what with the two diesels rumbling in the back), predictably things went wrong. What was mean as "STOP you're about to run over a pickup truck!!!" was interpreted by the driver as "all clear, go ahead and make that backwards pivot turn". Scratch one Chevy S-10.

CAROL's other 'kill' was a Volkswagen. I didn't witness it but apparently the tank was hired to crush a VW beetle in a mall parking lot for a commercial (it was painted orange for the event and you can still see orange where the OD is flaking off). The tank arrived to do the deed and, as expected, there was the VW. Only it looked in pretty good shape and there were valid license plates on it. Also, there was no film crew which should have been the first warning. No matter, the owner (same gent as above) was paid to do a job and that job he was going to do. You can see where this is going. Immediately on flattening the VW two people showed up: the driver of a tow truck with a derelict VW on the back and a woman with a bag of groceries in each arm looking for her VW.
