Shipping Ammo to Newfoundland

Hi fellow CGN'ers. This is basically a ? for Newfies but chime in if you have had a problem of a similar nature. I purchased a crate of .39 ammo in Quebec and it sits now,for the last 2 days, according to UPS's tracking gizmo, in St. John's under an exception because of adverse weather conditions. Thing is the weather is and has been excellent here the past couple of days. I can't get anywhere online with UPS, it just pumps out the same message. The last time I bought ammo from Quebec it took 23 days to receive it, a pretty frustrating experience to say the least. Anyone else experience this B.S. Could it be outside parties, i.e RCMP, RNC, are running background checks on the buyer, as in me? Is there anyway I could find this out? Its getting so it would be easier to drive to the mainland and bring a load of ammo back for personal consumption instead of going thru this everytime one needs ammo. Any and all thoughts on this subject really appreciated. Cheers.
 
Well it's not that nice in Labrador right now, snow and high winds also. I would think your getting this by air via the Montreal, Quebec City, Labrador and St-John's run. So, yes I can see a delay with the last 2 days as we are getting what Quebec had yesterday. But living in Labrador, I understand you frustration.
 
The UPS tracker says the crate is in St.John's, and I live just outside St. John's, around 20 minutes to be exact. Basically crappy service just like the last time.:mad::mad:
 
I would call UPS in St Johns and tell them to hold the package for pick up. Get your butt down there and pick it up. Once in your hands, ask to speak to a supervisor and ask for an explanation for the delay. You paid for a service and did not receive it, ask for a refund.
 
Don't ever order anything through UPS. They are the WORST. Especially here in town. Utterly, UTTERLY terrible. Everyone employed there should be ashamed of themselves for being a part of such a ####ty operation.

Every time I've ever ordered something and they've done the shipping it has been a disaster.
I hate UPS and everyone who works there. I have no idea how they are still in business since I imagine they are the same everywhere else.
