Bought a set of Nikon ATB 8X42 a few years back and have been happy with them overall.
Unfortunately, their weak point is the twist-type eyecups that with age deteriorated to the point where I lost one.
Since I purchased the binos from the U.S., Nikon Canada wants nothing to do with me. My only option now is to ship
them the Nikon USA for repairs.
Has anyone else shipped their optics to the US for repairs? If so, is there a mechanism in place to ensure that you
don't pay duty for them on the way back? Excuse my ignorance but I haven't sent anything away yet so I'm totally
guessing at outcomes. Called the US reps but they directed me to their website to follow instructions, never bothered
to ask them the same question at the time... Thanks in advance.
