its not CanadaAmmo problems if Campar got cheap labor that dont care about the client.
FedEx and UPS got bad and ugly to. DEPENDS ON THE PERSON YOU GET
Low or high paid couriers have a job to do, deliver stuff, a lot of stuff! I am either the best courier driver in ontario or the worst based on all these forum comments regarding couriers, LOL.
If a "shipper" does not pay to have "signature required" on a package it is understood that a delivery person can leave it at your door if they deem it safe to do so. I am a gun nut, my wife knows this. However if my wife saw a brown box with a little white sticker saying "small arms cartridges" she would have no clue as to what that is? I happen to know what it is as i deliver alot of sfrc stuff(thanks for your business Ryan) Unless there is an easy to find description of the product on the box(text or picture) we don't know if you have a heavy box full of ### toys, widgets, ammo, text books etc. We also don't know if this is anitem that's worth $10 or $2000!
I deliver 100 stops a day, over 200 pieces. I can't please all the people all the time. My regulars and I have developed a rappor, I know what they expect and what to do with their packages, the rest of you.....I'm not a mind reader! If you do not want a package left leave a note, if you do want it left, leave a note, want in in your garage? Leave a note!!! If you have time to vent on the Internet you have time to write a note on your door saying "attention courier", followed by instructions. "Most" of us are gonna follow those instructions.
As the above poster mentioned it depends who you get! Service industries of all kinds are flawed with idiots who don't have a clue or don't care. Our customers share the same qualities. Some don't care how they get their stuff, just that it arrives in a timely fashion. Some you can't please at all.
A couple of tips for those lacking common sense.
1. If you are working from9am-6pm it's a great idea to have packages sent to your work address or to a friend or family member who is known to always be home during the day.
2. Leave a note on the door. Couriers possess many skills, mind reading is not one.( leave in garage, leave on back deck, do not leave etc.)
3. If you have a beef with the service provider, please get your point across without shouting and cursing. Despite what many on this forum have said whether tongue in cheek or not most couriers WILL NOT stand at your front door and take a tongue lashing. Express your preference for delivery the first time you have a problem and most of us are going to accommodate you. : )
