Short 870

HAHA that's priceless, you even have hardwood flooring!

Anyway... To the original poster, I am also in the same boat as you so I got a Grizzly 12.5" and I plan on replacing the stock with a Hogue LOP. It is made for youth and use with body armour but I'll be wearing my pack (seen in avitar) most of the time so it should be good to go...

I decided to go against the pistol grip stock only because of the increased profile and cost, but hey, maybe once I give the LOP a try Ill switch.

Yeah I'm still with ADK on this one, some guys cant shoot PGO worth a damn, but that doesnt mean others havent taken the time to figure it out. Its just a forward-heavy handgun that requires a little support, with both arms braced it spreads the recoil across both arms making it painless with 2 3/4" slugs. Practice makes perfect. That doesnt mean I dont enjoy the pistol grip stock on my Benelli, shes still my go-to zombie destroyer but a little to big and expensive for quadding. But for $230, that maverick can get run over, used as a club, or leveraging device and I dont care. Thats what I bought it for...cheap, light, short and powerful. good enough for me.

There is a 870 model called the breacher, it comes from the factory with a pistol grip only. I believe PGW sells them. They are only about 12 inches long and are non restricted. Its a bit of a loophole in the regs because its not a modified. You should look into that. Allot of bush pilots north of 60 are using them.

Just looked on Remington website and the overall length is 20.25 inches, it has a 10 inch barrel. You have to look at the military or law enforcement sections on the website.

We went down similar paths.

Is it just the picture or is there no saftey button?

if cost is no issue benelli M2, semi auto, no short stroking in emergencies, inertia driven not gas driven so can handle bad weather and dirt and if you can live with the length, it may be your life saver.

Were can you find this non restricted short shotgun?

Thanks

Yeah, I lost the ball bearing when I was installing the oversized safety. Now it just runs without a safety.

I lost the spring in mine... happened to have a similar size that worked.

With HD or range guns I never use the safety anyways, hunting is a different story.
