I don't get it ...
If one has say a 700 or model 7 they really like but it lacks irons .... what's the difficulty with enlisting a gun smith to install them ?
Tikka T3X Compact Lite in .308 with the barrel cut to 18.5”. Leopold Patrol 1-4X scope with illuminated dot.

Way over 1000$
I think the weight listing is wrong on the ranch, handling one at Cabela’s and some research I’ve done I’d say 6+ ( I should have weighed it ) I also should have bought last year when they had on sale for $599!
I’ve had the .223 And 6lbs would be about right , it was the .308 that I was looking at.Ruger lists the 308 at 5.5lbs, and the 223 at 6.1lbs. Was it a 223 model you looked at by chance?
I'm gonna take a look at one of the 308 or 450bm ones next time I'm in Cabelas, they've piqued my interest...
What that gonna cost and can you even put sights on a pencil barrel ? I was under the impression that the diameter of the barrel was to thin ????
My Kimber Adirondack breaks three of your rules but it should still be considered as it is a heck of a accurate rig and absolute joy to tote around the hills.... No sights, blind mag and a few $$ more but damn!

Tikka Battue Light. Everything you want. Great Trigger, super accurate, excellent integral tikka mounting rail (if you want to use it), open sights. Has 20" barrel though. You could look for a used on on EE
