Hi all.

We are looking at bringing in a small batch of Ruger 10/22 short barrels. See the image below for reference.

Stainless steel, threaded barrels.

We are looking at 8in, 10in and 12in options, but want to know which size you guys want to see first. The price point is expected to be around $300 CAD if we stocked these.

Please weigh in below.

305mm (12.00787 inches) is the min barrel length for BC 's Hunting regulations.

12.0 inches is technically a little shy but close enough to argue about.... :)

Who's making the barrels?

We are looking at Ballistic advantage in the US. Maybe Faxon.

12 inch or as suggested, 14 would be great.

Thanks for the feedback! The manufacturers we are looking at don't seem to offer 14in but I will be looking at some other options that may be available in that length.

Ballistic Advantage is under bankruptcy protection and has previously not wanted to ship to Canada.

Faxon make some great barrels. Friends in the U.S. use them for a lot of different rifles.

12.5" barrel results in around 30 3/4" in a regular length of pull traditional stock.
8 inches would be right around 26 1/4".

12.5 sticks out a couple inches past the end of the front of a traditional stock, the shorter barrels need shorter fore ends or some surgical action.

14 inch might be a good length for a folding stock to still make the min length for Non restricted when folded but as mentioned it's not a standard length.

14 to me seems to be long enough with most stocks to be over the 26-27" mark to remain non restricted
As Can-down said above.

In my experience most factory length stocks will be easily still NR with a 10in barrel length. With 8in barrel you should measure based on your stock.

With a folder, my advice is you should measure first regardless of how short you go.
