Some of us here probably listen a bit too much to American opinion on the matter, where it might actually be a legitimate gripe for guys who would like to swap uppers on a SBR registered lower receiver.

It is an AR-15...just way better. Its what the AR-15 should have been. So what if you cannot swap uppers. If you buy one it's unlikely you would want to anyway.
If you can't afford one just say so instead of bashing an excellent piece of kit.
Deutsche-SchuBWaffe uber alles!

You have no idea what I can and cannot afford, I could buy two today if wanted.
Have you imported anything yet?? NO!!

Its nice to have dreams isnt it Severus
Time to picture up big mouth, lets see some high dollar rifles and handguns that your big wallet funds.
I`ll put my PWS AR15s against this turd with the holes drilled incorrectly anyday.

Aside from the MR223, are there any other piston AR's available for sale in Canada?
I heard that Benelli will have the MR1 available at some point and Sig is supposed to be making the 516 available as well. Anything on the Canadian market right now that is comparable to the MR223?
Just exactlly what is ilegitimate about swapping uppers?? Its an american idea?? What it is is actually a great idea!
Ozz, no offense meant. Would not want to start anything after you reported me last time.

So maybe then you could give us your opinion on which of these systems is best?
Maybe you havnt fired them all but you definatlly get to give them a good eyeballing.
Which looks like the best build quality?
........
The POF .308 has been getting pretty good reviews down in the US (the current production units). We ordered guns and uppers last year and just this past week started to receive delivery of our orders. They look very nice... quality of the materials and assembly is excellent. Very anxious to get out and do some testing. So far I like what we're seeing... these units have a lot of potential.

That's like asking "what's the best car?"... impossible question to answer because you first have to define the criteria on which to judge "best".
I have some familiarity with the LMT and PWS systems (own both and have sold lots)... they are very well designed... very well made... and both have pretty good reputations as being good product and good companies that stand behind their product. This is one reason why we import them and offer them for sale.
I really like the PWS Diablo... works VERY well. I've run my personal (T&E) gun for about 2 years now... we RARELY CLEAN ITand we've loaned it out, sent it to courses, run it in the rain... pretty much abused the heck out of it using a variety of ammo and operators... it's done extremely well and with pretty much no complaints. We also sent a PWS gas piston conversion we did (on an LMT 10.5" upper) to one of our LE departments who wanted to test the PWS system with the Suppressors... they ran the heck out of it and reported back that it functioned better than anything else they had tested to date. The PWS long stroke gas piston system works.
The CMMG Gas Piston AR's worked very well. We sold quite a few of them and frankly they were way under-priced... I think a lot of people did not take the gun seriously because it was priced so low. We don't carry CMMG any longer but that had nothing to do with the gun... it was simply a business decision on our part.
The S&W M&P Gas Piston is new... we have yet to see one so I have no info on that.
