Shortage of CCI ammunition

Called last week and they were down to just about nothing no cases very few bricks ..

I bought CCI mini mags and some CCI blazer in Espo I was kinda hopin to get some bulk blazer in Sudbury next time I'm in town.
Supplies are spotty every where. The big suppliers are trying to find sources, the trouble is, shooters may have to be prepared to buy whatever becomes available for awhile. Either you shoot what you can get or you continue to wait until some of your favourite brand comes in.

Well I am down to 200 rounds of CCI-SV and unable to find another case or even a brick or two at a decent price. I will have to start shooting my Lapua SK Standard Plus. It was just nice to have something cheap to shoot for practice. The wife and I both shoot small bore an a case will last about 4 months.
I will not pay $10.00 @ 100 for CCI-SV when SK Standard is the same price by the case!

Good joke, but a case of CCI Standard is usually around $30.00 /500 or $7.95/100 and a case of SK /500 Standard plus more like $62.00+ and $13.00 /100.. you must be getting ripped on your CCI

Cci here is normally 7.99/100 and sk standard is $63/500
Well, i have about 2500 CCI SV rounds. I over paid for my last 2 boxes online, but I like to have a good stock since my CZ really loves them. Well you are paying way to much for your Standard Plus, I have been paying $52.00/500 and $496.00/5000. None of the suppliers around here have them by the brick/500 but as I said the last case I got were $249.99 for the CCI-SV. The CTC here wants $8.99/100 when they got them and the Gun store wants $9.99/100.
I just might as buy the SK Standard Plus as pay those prices.

Reading all this...it strikes me as though Canada is getting the short end of the stick from CCI. The hysteria in the US has been around allot longer than this CCI dry spell has. Unfortunately, I think it will have VERY negative consequences when it eventually DOES come back into stock. Shortages like this impact people's buying habits, and the resulting ammo hoarding ultimately hurts everyone collectively.

supply is there it is the hording that is hurting everyone. It's one thing to buy 1000 rounds a week and 'choot em. another to buy 1000 rounds a day and try to sell em online for 4x their value. which is what is happening.
