I don't get why some people are having to wait to get their test results, my instructor handed me mine as soon as he graded my test!

I'm in the process of upgrading to RPAL. Took 3ish weeks to get back from CFO. I sent in my application May 14 via registered mail. I called today (May 29th) and CFC was not much help (online status check says license issued last summer which was for my PAL). They told me minimum 4 weeks before it even shows up online as received.
Just checked today (June 7th) and it went from not online to in progress. I called in to do my phone interview but they said my picture needed to be scanned first (guess the 10 month old pic is no good anymore). They said to call back later on next week. They said after my references are interviewed it could be 45 days until I get it
They called my evening phone number yesterday during the day and left a message instead of calling me at work. They also called and interviewed my references yesterday as well. I called in this morning for my interview and it went well (a lot of "no" answers lol)
Yay! Status updated after 23 days (or 16 business days) after being signed for in Miramichi. Time to fax in my test results. YAY! The ball is rolling... slowly but getting there. Should be able to buy guns by Christmas! lol

You can but you'll get the same answer as I did this week, quote 'were really backed up & it's taking us up to a month to process RPAL applications, please call back in a week or so's time.'
My 45 days from start of processing falls due on Monday....
Just called BC CFO again to see if my RPAL applications been updated with the additional info I faxed last Tuesday, it's still not been added to my file & the operator suggested I refax it again & call back in another weeks time as there compleatly swamped.... woo hoo.... not
Did my interview at 9:00am and just checked the site for the status of my license and got this.
Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your licence within 2 weeks please contact the Canada Firearms Centre Toll Free number. (1-800 731-4000)
If you had've sent the app first, now correct me if i'm wrong, but i don't think they will hold the application if you don't have the course copy's when they ask for it. Will they not just cancel the app? 8 Weeks is a LONG time to wait for the results to come back.
Silly Ontario! Had a look at my results and there's nothing written on it to show it went through the Ontario CFO's office.
I took my exams on April 28/29 and was told it "normally" takes 3-4wks to get the results back but because of the backlog, it's more like 6-8wks. Luckly I got mine back right at the 4wk period and so did two of my coworkers.
Quick question for the masses. Does the 28day wait begin on the date shown as being received on the online website or from the day it showed up online?

I'd like to know why they're so backlogged.... hopefully it's a huge influx of new license applications...
I have my doubts though.
I'm at day 60 since coming on line, 31 days since interviews all done.
HOLY slow! From all that I've read here, most everyone got their cards in the mail a couple weeks after the interview process. Have you called them?

Sent in mail with test results on April 28th
Interviews on June 1st and 4th
Issued on June 4th
Called and was told it was actually mailed on June 8th
And now I impatiently wait for it in the mail -_-.

Not a problem I just got mine issued on monday which was the 29th day you could call and see what the status of your application is and see what they say. If they say that it is with your CFO contact them and see how your application is.
