Interview with CFP RCMP Miramichi
From past episodes, my faithful (and showing-good-taste) readers know, that my previously missing and then delayed CRFSC stamped result was finally found and faxed to Miramichi yesterday, Monday the 22nd. I called them yesterday just before the end of the working day and they said that this last bit of data had not been entered into the system yet.
No problem, I'll call them first thing Tuesday morning.
I wake up, dress have a cup of coffee and get this tremendous pain in the right-side of the chest. Like a huge and powerful fist grabbing and squeezing the whole upper-right quadrant.
My heart had always been alright (up to now). I quit smoking on 2002/02/02 and I restarted swimming (seriously) and going to the gym. But a pain like this one (and it was a stronger repeat of a similar episode which I had shrugged off) was no joke said my girlfriend, so: 911
At the emergency ward, blood test and ECG and the doctor says, "I'll keep you for another blood test eight hours from now."
So there I was and I hadn't even brought a book or an e-book.
So what do I do? I ask the security guard to look up the CFC's 800 number (my memory is not what it used to be. The 800 part is easy and so is the 4000 part. I had forgotten the components and order of the middle three digits) It was 731. I had been thinking 231, 432, 734 and thankfully I didn't dial from (poor) memory. And now that I think of it I should have remembered the 731 since my work number is ### 731 ###x
Anyway, I did my interview.
They just repeated all the questions of the application, reminding you at the start of the interview that you had to be truthful and that all info was subject to be checked out. No problem.
and to end the day, all tests proved negative. It wasn't my heart but they do NOT know what the H*** it could have been. Not an indigestion; my last meal before this "attack" had been about 12 hours before (last night's dinner.)
Any way: Interview 1 (me) done.
I've asked my 2nd reference to call in (tomorrow)
My 1st refrence, my brother, is away in Egypt until the end of the month.
Miramichi have his numbers in Egypt however I very much doubt that they'll remember that Egypt is seven hours ahead of us here in Ottawa (OK, six hours for New Brunswick).
So, another period of "wait and see" and hope to have my would-be-birthday-present-to-myself transformed into a Christmas-present-to-self...........
