Shorten PAL Approval Times

PAL/RPAL Application form mailed: Oct. 20/2010
Issued on or before: Nov. 24/2010(just waiting for the mail)
This is Manitoba by the way.
 
So what does this mean?

Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.

I just have to wait and thats it?

Call the CFO office , the application is back in Orillia now and you can call them to find out what's going on. I can't remember the phone no. off hand.

Now just waiting on my CFSC results to get in so I can fax them in.

My last reference called in this afternoon and had the interview. Just waiting for my license to be issued now. Hopefully I receive it next week seeing as my waiting period is already over.

My status as I write says the same.
I have done MY interview. One of my two references has just hung up with them after telling them that I'm a puddy tat (no violence whatsoever, which is true BTW)
Still waiting to see if they will (if at all) call (successfully) my brother who's in Egypt or if they'll wait for his return (or knowing he's in Egypt and having his numbers there and having told me that they would call him in spite of the seven hours difference, will still call his Toronto number and not finding him there, will snailmail him a letter.)

Check your online status today and tomorrow morning and tomorrow afternoon (and repeat as necessary) until you see the status has changed..................

Called about once a week, which is worthwhile regardless of whether or not it speeds up the process. They made a typo when inputting my address, easily corrected, but had I not called it could have created a delay.

As of today, 28 days after they received my application the website says my licence has been issued.

Everyone one I spoke to at the CFC along the way was friendly and helpful.

I spent more time waiting to take the firearms safety course(s) through a local for-profit range.

Good and we're all happy for you. Of course being from Edmonton, you do not suffer the same handicaps that we Ontarians must endure.

But . But ........... but ............... Ottawa is supposed to be the 2nd coldest capital in the World (and I suffer when it's cold, just like you.)

My app is still waiting for the last interview; my brother who is vacationing as we speak. Won't be back for another week.

get on the phone, something is not right...

Mine was received on Oct 6th (according to online system), license was in my mailbox Nov 15th.
