Shorten PAL Approval Times

RPAL approved last Friday! Im in Southern Ontario and have heard they ship out the cards every Friday. Any idea of when I should get the thing? I know it says up to 2 weeks, but I was hoping since I was approved on Friday maybe it will cut the waiting time.

That myth has been debunked already by the CFC.
Mine said approved on a Monday at noon. I received it the following Wednesday.

My timeline -
CFSC course and test - Nov 26
Mailed application without result - Dec 5th
Delivered at Miramichi - Dec 9th
Stamped results received - Dec 16th
Called In - Dec 16th - told to call week later due to backlog
Called Again -Dec 24th - application still not in the system. Told to call in 1st week of Jan so 2 more weeks!!
My 28 day period will be over on Jan 6th but my application is not even in the system yet

Mine took about 7 weeks to get "in the system" and I'm still waiting for them to call my references. Get comfortable because you have a wait ahead of you...Merry Christmas!

I called on a Monday to see if they were ready for interviews. Was told to call back in 2 weeks. Called back 3 DAYS LATER, told they were ready for interviews on the TUESDAY (the day after I was told to call back in 2 weeks!)

I just found out that they charged my visa last week. However they still do not have me in the system. Is that normal?

My wife has be waiting since the end of September I keep telling her to call and motivate them but she won't. I'm starting think something might be wrong. All they told her was it's with the manitoba CFO but it's been there since beginning of November

what kind of questions do they ask your references?
Day 42... Called today to see how things were looking, I was informed that i have been approved and my card is being printed. I was told that once my card is printed it will be checked by hand at the CFO's office and subsequently mailed. I inquired as to how long this will take... She said 3 weeks....

Day 21 for me and I called them because I need the application number so that I can fax in my CFSC results(PAL Only). I am still not in the system! I am a bit confused here. I thought when they charge your credit card then you are partially in the system. But apparently that is not the case because my credit card was charged late last week.
The lady on the phone told me that the Christmas break will add a week's delay to the process if not more. So for now I am going to quit calling them until 2nd week of Jan but will keep an eye on the online system.
I bought an Rifle already and it is sitting at a buddy's house. I learnt that one should never buy these things before you have the license in your hands because it just makes the wait more painful.. LOL.
