Shorten PAL Approval Times

I was 49 days to get issued and 56 days to have it in my hands! Just waiting for the transfer on my pistol now!

Just make sure the provincial cfo has a copy of your range membership on file. They will hold up the transfer if not. You can fax it in to their office

I didn't realize their was a hold on my transfer until I called the rcmp in Miramichi

Not a problem ...already have my ATT as I had a pistol already grandfathered under the 12 (6) provision. I had my registration and new ATT paper come in the mail Friday. Just waiting now....it didn't say I had to do anything else. I may call the dealer tmro just to check tho.

Pretty soon we won't need those ATT's anymore ;)

I'm not sure if I'm an unusual case, but I submitted my PAL application in April...the 27th to be exact. I just received my card in the mail yesterday. Total of 36 days(including the 28 day wait). Not one of my references were called. I'm in Ontario as well. I'm NOT complaining, but it seems odd considering some of the posts I've read here.

With non restricted pal references aren't typically called

Congrats

Guys, I just called Miramichi to advise that my application (RPAL) is not visible online, although it was signed for on May 14th, 2015. The nice lady said that due to the number of applications, it will be 4 to 6 weeks before processing begins. She advised I watch my online banking, to see when the charge goes on my credit card. Then, she advised that one of my references could call in, no sooner than 3 weeks after that. She told me to expect a 3 month wait total................:(

It takes on average 3 weeks to show online after they received it

Day 116 of RPAL adventure

Called in to BC cfo, "under review", no additional info. One of my references was called, but not the other (yet).

Has someone dropped the ball, or is this just normal?

Did you call province CFO or CFC? cause normally CFO does not call your reference.

I called the provincial CFO, though the purpose of the call wasn't to ask about references. I just mentioned references here for the sake of detail. I do find it odd that my first reference WAS interviewed over a month ago, and yet my second reference hasn't heard a peep from the cfc.
