CFO approved over the phone on Monday, site detailed it was sent for printing that day. Received it today, post marked Nov 4. So it took 2 days to print and 3 days to mail :)
Anyone know why the RCMP sign in page for checking your application status is stuck in a loop?

R/PAL Call History in BC.

Sept 29th Passed R/Pal training.
Oct 3rd (Saturday) sent results via registered mail.
Oct 7th Received and signed for.
Oct 14th Called to find out if they had the file on hand and how to check my status online and was not sure about the password. The password is the city we were born in and I wanted to know how to enter it as there are multiple options for any city with “saint”, “st”, “st.” in the name, or caps, etc. Was told to call back closer to the 28 day mark or after my credit card was billed. It was explained to me that I was wrong about how I interpreted the 28 day mandatory wait by thinking I might see it online that quickly (within a week). The wait is longer she said. 45+ as stated on the website and form, and likely up to 3 or more months. I knew this and felt like I was being talked down to by the tone of voice used. I found the lady quite rude.
Oct 27th Called back because it’s still not showing online. Was told to call back after the 28 day mark. The lady I spoke with was pleasant.
Nov 3rd (28th day) Not showing up online, no fees taken off credit card yet. I was assured that if they signed for it that it’s not misplaced. The lady I spoke to was nice.
Nov 4th Credit card billed (day 29). I phoned in to make sure everything is in order and the lady I spoke to was VERY nice. I have her name but don’t think I should give that out. They did not need to interview me, just one of my references.
Nov 6th Called to ask if they required any further information. Was told they are done interviews (one reference, I never got interviewed) and are waiting to scan the photo and then send it to the CFO in BC for final approval. I spoke to a very nice gentleman. The nicest person I had talked to there in fact. Sounded like an older fellow.
Nov 6th Evening. Website shows as issued. Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your licence within 2 weeks please contact the Canadian Firearms Program

So, I guess this means it's in the mail? Or will be mailed out this friday.

Either way pretty good time all in, though it took forever to show online. I expected a longer wait overall.

Whew - thought it was just me. :) Cleared up later on in the day thankfully.

RPAL approved Nov 2 over the phone. Still nothing as of yesterday's post. Hopefully today...

Y'know, I can't recall waiting for something with anticipation like this for a really long time. As vexing as it is to not have the card in my hand yet, the anticipation is enjoyable in its own way too.

if you sign in alot to constantly check your status, which i was sure guilty of lol, the tracking cookie thingys need to be cleared, i found just clearing my history and the cookies, then signing in seemed to work most times.

I noticed it eventually worked :) It has felt like waiting for Christmas waiting for this, up until now when I have to admit to myself that my husbands will not make it for this weekend.

That is a thought; I am checking for my husband's on an average 4 times a weekday! He's not as excited; not wanting to get his hopes up.

Hello everyone
New to the site this thread looks great

i did my course for non restricted on the weekend, reading the part that people in Ontario can mail it in early without waiting for the test results stamp

Has anyone done this and can i fax it when i get it?
Thanks

you can sent your application to CFC early, use registered mail so you know who signs on their end upon receiving.Once you received your result stamp call CFC tell them that your faxing your result. I GOT MY RPAL IN 48 DAYS ( ONTARIO)FOLLOW CALALTA'S NSTRUCTION (OP) THATS WHAT I DID.

I sent in my RPAL application xpresspost, they received it on October 9th and today after talking to my reference again (they didn't like one of his answers so he called back to clarify) they approved it and the license is in the mail.

I am in Manitoba. so I guess about 39 days from receipt to approval, probably would have been quicker if my reference didn't have to call back.

My RPAL application was received August 12. References were called in september. Called in 3 times and told to be patient, my application is in order and with the CFO. It is now November 22. Wondering what is going on when I see lots of apps going through quickly.

I asked politely if I could be transfered over to the CFO, they happily did so. CFO even gave me their direct extension when I needed to follow up the next week.

I received my PAL a couple of weeks ago now but my husbands (sent the same time in Sep, approved through CFO same day in Oct) seems to be stuck in another queu, even beyond the sight of the CFO and not fully approved. I guess this is where patience comes in.
