Shorten PAL Approval Times

Also, just curious as to how long the interview lasts, ie if my girlfriend is at work (who is one of my references) will she be able to call in on a quick break, or is it like a 15-20 minute thing?

its been a week since ive been approved :(

im hoping mid next week i should have my card

wooo got my card today :D purchasing starts soon :D

took 39 days from the day they received to the day i got my card in the mail.

i was approved 25 days ago but had to wait the 28 day wait period for the card to be issued and then it took 11 days to get my card in hand.

Soooo jealous of everyone who already has their card :p

Hope the wait time in Ontario isn't too bad when I start the application process on Friday :(

is there anything i can do to get them to approve my license and mail it after i've completed the interview and my references aswell? the interviews were completed 14-17 days ago and my application was received 37 days ago, i've done everything according to this thread up until now, i tried calling today but couldn't get anywhere with the lady she just kept telling me 45 days, 45 days... is this the case? (I live in ontario btw)

the hold up is at ontario's CFO's office...

call the cfc and ask to be transfered to the ontario cfo's office and ask them what is going on...

i guess BC has alot less people applying or our cfo's is alot more pro-gun?

call back and talk to another person

Jeringate, when I called the ON CFO's office last week re. questions involving my application...She also reiterated a 45 day wait, but I'm sure they allow you to take in phone interviews as you call (with no notification) considering when they misunderstood my question Kristen (the lady on the phone) asked me if I was on the phone for an interview and she would need a minute to prepare.

Not in the system yet, just trying to be of assistance. Good luck to all.
Thanks

So, everytime I log in to the site to check my status, I get an error message:
"From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1 500 Internal Server Error

The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from fulfilling the request."

Three different computers, 4 different browsers, two different operating systems. Anyone else getting this?

What is with the "45 day wait"?
NOtario adds 17 days to the first 28?

It is stated right on the Federal application website (linked in the first post of this thread:

"Application Number: 10-00######XX-XX

Application Received on: 2011/02/21

Current Status: Your application has completed initial processing. It is now in progress. Please check the status again at a later date.

Note: An accurately completed firearms licence application normally takes about 45 days to process. Incomplete and inaccurate information can add additional processing time."

They are probably getting sick of everyone calling them for no good reason.

dude CFO - Ontario received my application on 6th of January, it has been decades it seems, I am dying to get my license before the turkey season. I hope they process my application in time.

id call and find out what the heck is going on, as you obviously waited OVER 45 days...
and i sent mine in about a month after you did and got mine yesterday lol..

did they at least call you for interview? what about your references?did they miss a blocked call? did you?

I am getting the exact same message, I sent my application in on March 5th with express post (3 day transit time). I just called in today, March 16th and my application is not in the system yet.
