She wasn't able to tell me for sure if it had been sent to or approved by the Ontario CFO yet, but she said the status on their system doesn't show "Awaiting completion of 28 day waiting period" unless the CFO has signed off on it. So, based on that, she said it should be finalized by July 18.

Will update with timeline once I get an update.

This was a new application for PAL/RPAL in Ontario. I did the courses last year, but didn't send the app off until June.

Hoping to join a local club and get an LTATT for transporting to and from there. I've read a few things about the Ontario CFO not issuing LTATT, can someone verify that you were able to secure an LTATT in Ontario with a club membership?

LTATTs are indeed issued.. but again legally a membership is not required.

Yes.
And that is why it's recommended that you send your application (even without test results, if that is your case) registered. so you can trace it and view the signature of the person (usually named Brown) who signed for it. That signature's date is day 1/28
 
I did, in fact, stumble across that thread on LTATT without range membership. I will take another read through it and see if anyone has any info regarding fighting the "policy" in Ontario.

Ideally, I'd love to have a LTATT without the requirement of having to maintain a club membership, so I may try and do just that.

Anyone who has experience doing this is welcome to chime in!

Hi Canadian86 sir,

I've actually just finished reading all 31 pages of that LTATT thread, and I've revived it.

I'm also quite invested in finding a resolution as well.

The best way to find such a resolution is for more and more of us to send in the LTATT apps w/o membership and demand letters of refusal and send it before a judge:

The more cases of this the more the CFO will be very worried.
 
Anyone else pull the newb move and forget to print their name on the back of their picture? Now i have to wait for them to send me a form for me to print,sign, and send back. Damn im pissed at myself!
 
FullMetalJacket, how long did it take from the time you mailed it out to the time it got to the "processing" stage on the site?

I ask cause I shipped mine out about 2 or 3 weeks ago and still have this status :(

We do not have any information that matches this data. If the data is correct please check your application status again at a later date.

Mine took 22 days so yours should be posted any day now.

A spamming bot with that post? Unusual.

The basic process was detailed nicely by calalta in the OP.

But in effect.. if it is in processing and you have sent them your test results then by all means call in.. do your interview.. get a # and having your refs do the same.
 
thanks, I'll give them a call tomorrow. As for the spamming bot, the spam was in his signature (also check out the location and the generic post that could apply to any forum)

Interesting.. mods must have edited it before I saw it since there was never any sig there when I commented.

As for the location etc... check around CGN and there are tons that would fall into that same category but are not spam bots
