Shorten PAL Approval Times

Yes, April 27th. I was hoping against hearsay that I would have mine issued by now, but they seem to be taking their time. Have been calling every week though.

CFC received mine APR 29th. Seems like both of us are in the same boat. I've been calling every two weeks and nothing is new.

Yup, same slow moving boat.
Day 45, called and spoke to the nicest lady till now, apparently I'm still in the first stage of processing and references can't call in before the second stage. Any ranges in mind when you get yours?

Which tests are you talking about? Cuz I took my CRFSC course and test end of March, feel like we're missing something here.

Oh, cool! I wish I could be in one of the forces, if I had better health. Tried once for Peel Police though, slow by 4 seconds on the physical. Good luck to you guys!

Took course end of February.
Mailed complete PAL application May 8th via snail mail.
Status appeared online June 3rd as completed initial processing, in progress.
Date received in status: May 13th
June 10 (today) Day 28 since receiving .... no change
No references contacted as of yet
No phone calls to cfc

Hopefully it comes before fall :/ lol

Will call CFC tomorrow (day 30) and see how that goes

Yeah it's F'n ridiculous. I have a friend I took my license testing with who passed same day and submitted the same day, and he is having the same issues.

Called in to BC cfo, "under review", no additional info. One of my references was called, but not the other (yet).


Has someone dropped the ball, or is this just normal?

They usually drop the ball. Typical government union workers half ass cause they can't be fired. (I'm extremely jaded towards them now after being on day almost 180 now -_- )

Called in once - told me that they have a busy summer time and processing time is little bit longer than usual
Looks like only for B.C. is processing time is longer

Nope, same everywhere it seems. Makes sense, as CFP is Federal so they're processing cases for the whole country.

I read a few pages back that Friday is issuing day for PAL's and RPAL's, hopefully that is the case and we all get lucky. Day 101 and the wait drags on.

Ontario PAL_to_RPAL upgrade. 8 weeks from day app was received (April->June).

All I want is for it to arrive before summer is gone, something tells me it might not.

Called CFC,told me need to wait couple more months, nothing can do to improve?
