Shorten PAL Approval Times

Father in law sent his registered and it took a long time to show up as received. Today is the 29th day and it's not issued, I called and they do not require an interview with me (I'm one of his references)

Your father in law must have applied for a non-restrictive PAL if interviews are not required. This is normal. Once the CFC website status changes to "issued" the license is printed on the next Thursday and mailed out on the Friday. Mine was delivered on a Wednesday.
 
I would expect that they stamp the received date on the envelope (that is what they should do but I have no knowledge of what they are doing).
If you send it in registered, (receipt required) then you have your own proof of when it is delivered.

Mailed mine the 29th, just showed up online today.

Mine was received the 8th of August. There is quite a backlog right now because of the postal strike. Some one awhile ago said it was about a 3-4 week wait for it to show online, so don't be surprised if it takes that long.

Not sure if the CFC puts in over time lol
 
WOW, What a difference a phone call makes. I called yesterday and was told to call in a week because they have not received my application. ( It was mailed July 30th ) I just checked on line and apparently my application was received on August 8. According to my math the 28 day waiting period ends on September 4th. I think I will call again tomorrow and see if I can get an interview. What do you guys think?

We must have been in the same mail bag. I'm going to call tomorrow and try to get my interview and ref number for sure.
 
Just spoke with a very nice lady from CFC and she tells me that they are working on the 3rd week of Aug and there was not much mail in the third week.

Ha, it was a lot shorter when you started 3strokes.
I don't expect anyone to read all that but it would be nice if everyone read the original post before asking questions.
 
Yehaaa... finally in the system... was recieved 11/08/08 and today they finally gave me the app# and put me through to someone to be interviewed... that lady asked me to call back at the end of the week as my documents hadn't been scanned yet... so no go on the interview front.

At least I am doing the ATT course this weekend.
