Shorten PAL Approval Times

Just got off phone, what an effing joke,
-Received at NB June 3rd.
-charged my credit card July 5th
-July 29th, today has been 8 weeks and asked to call back if I havent heard anything by the end of August or beginning of September!!! Are you kidding me?
I told her I'd be glad to check it online but it doesnt show up. She replied that it was because they haven't started processing it yet. I asked her if they open all applications just to get our credit card numbers then throw them back in a pile for the next several months. that comment might cost me a further delay but c'mon!
Charging credit cards seems to be right on schedule but nothing after that is. She told me the 45 days is a MINIMUM and because I applied for an RPAL mine would be even longer.
I'll call/mail my MPP just to "officially" complain but after that I am not going to bother to check anymore, too frustrating listening to them laugh on the phone and tell me how god damned short staffed they are. They can all kiss my ass.

Raise hell about it and email the press as well carefully and politely detailing the farce.
45 days is not the 'minimum'. The website clearly states an accurately filled out application NORMALLY takes 45 days. That would make 45 days the AVERAGE, not the minimum. Based on reading the last 200 or so posts I've concluded that its one big crapshoot. There are some efficient processing times and some real dogfu**ers working at the CFC. Then after they scan your paperwork its another crapshoot when it gets to you Provincial CFO, who after reviewing it sends it back to the CFC so you can then wait till they decide what day to print it and mail it. And in case you're counting, I'm on day 75. (They charged my CC about 35 days ago).
Well into the second week of waiting for license in the mail. How long did it take others to actually get it in the mail after status changed?
Also, when I check online I see. My license number, is that likely to be the final number an coil I order firearms online with just this number? Not that in a hurry, just interested to know.

On the old website you can not see your License number that I could see, but on the new website you can find it once its gone to issued status. Local stores will want to see your plastic card but if your ordering online and know your license number I would assume you could order just fine. I have not had to show any online store a scan of a physical copy of the license.
UPDATE:
Received my RPAL renewal in the mail yesterday, July 29th.
So, it took 40 days from putting the app in the mail to having the card in hand.
That's actually 6 days longer than it took to get my RPAL originally in 2008
Received 30th May.
Initial details entered 3rd July.
CC charged 3rd July.
Application online and in progresses 24th July. But not yet scanned.
Spoke with them on 29th July for a status update and they were ready to interview me and transferred me for my interview.
References rang in today 30th July.
Just checked the site and it now says Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued.

Hopefully that means they will be getting to the ones that were mailed in June soon.......
Or the rest of us who sent in May....
Luckily I don't need it until November. (Not that I want to wait that long)
I wasn't going to do archery this year, but its fast approaching....
Maybe the CFC would prefer I just go out and club seals this fall...

Not necissarily, just men's its worked its way into the system. If you applied for RPAL you should phone in and try to do interviews. If just PAL do a courtesy call just to make sure you aren't missing anything. If you are and they mail you a letter. That will add about 3 weeks to the whole process
