Shorty/SBR Precision Rifle

Finally took the Remington PCR shorty out to sight in. I'm a novice with optics but by the third group it was starting to tighten up. I will take some match rounds next time and see if it will get sub MOA. I was using cheapo bulk PMC 147gr.
I think I want one in .223 with an even shorter barrel.

Slick little build--if legal just needs a LAW sidefolder and a folding grip, and looks like that could be a pretty good Go-Bag countersniper or survival rifle.

How are you liking the enclosed forend?

It's pretty oK.
I did have it on my other XRS/CZ457 with 22" barrel but I think it looks better with short barrel, obviously subjective.
On the CZ I am using MDT's 10" M-lok ARCA and functionally they are the same for a lot less $$$. Also keep scope height/length in mind if you plan to run a sunshade with the enclosed.

Here is my contribution, 308 sig cross 16" barrel. I did not get a chance to test it yet, but I expect to get consistent 1" groups or less. :)

Soooo tempted by these... wish they hadn't botched the QC.... and still continue to botch the QC...

Scope looks like weighs more than the rifle.

its no 12.5 inch ar but it feels pretty good. will weigh it but feels likes its under 10 lbs and very well balanced. first rounds down range tonight and need a mouth guard with the brake!

Lol I coulda told you that!

Linear compensator is the only way to go.

Another option that I found that worked better to tame the blast than a linear comp was a Noveske KX5 Pig. It made the blast from my 12.5" 308 feel like shooting a full length rifle.

Yup elcan os4x. The rifle comes with a rather high pic rail so I can probably drop it a bit by getting a low rail at some point.

It's a sweet little build. Part of me wants to build a pistol version as an F-U to the gun-grabbers' latest pushes down here... biggest deficiency is that without an AR-style upper I can't use a Cry Havoc QRB for a takedown system, this thing basically SCREAMS "make a briefcase or backpack sniperbuster out of me."

If I was up there or we didn't have SBR restrictions, I'd be tempted to do a 5.56 version, slap on a FAB Defense mag-carrier stock and buttstock monopod at the rear, a mag-carrier foregrip in front of the magwell and something like a Grip-Pod or FAB's convertible foregrip-bipod.
