Shot a Grizzly

OK well here is the proof that CC showed me!! I must confess that I was really impressed by the 375 Ultra mag and the damage that it did in the pics that I won't show. The hole and the blood was awesome! And I am a 375 H&H fan!!

Congrats CC, looks like a bear of a life time!!

What are the plans for the trophy? Going for a full body mount or a rug? When the trophy is exceptional, a full body mount is worth while. Nothing like getting that little shot of adrenalin every time you walk into the room.

Just out of curiosity, did you happen to follow the bullet tract and or recover the bullet? A Partition wouldn't be my first choice, but it looks like it did the job on that bear as well as any bullet could.
 
I'm reading/typing this from Gibb's house so using his computer CC...

I'm having a rug done and yes there are a couple shots of the head but they are not very good due to the lighting in the heavy bush I'll post them when I get back home.

I searched for a while but I couldn't find the bullet basically the shot hit almost perfectly center on the rib cage creating about a 3" entry hole, missed the heart, went thru both lungs exited with an even larger hole in the ribs and ended up in the off side shoulder almost complety turning the inside of the quarter into bruising.

I was amazed at the actual damage done to the shoulder...

Anyway we are sitting down for coffee with the Gibb's then my son and I are heading over to the Smithers airport to check out the bear they have mounted there to compare it's size to our bear.
