Shot coolant?

Well I think I am finally getting the hang of it. Sure is a learning experience. Fabric softener is working well I am using5 gallons. Drop is about 3/8 inch. Polished the ramp using 440 and 660 then applied spray on graphite powder. Huge difference. Made another 15 lbs today.
Only complaint is it seems to be slow going. Only one dripper really putting out. I have tried
Cleaning them, heating them and whatever else. Shut things down after a while and will give it a go again sometime soon.

I use the James Stewart Better Shot maker. After trying RV anti-freeze, Peak anti-freeze, unknown anti-freeze and fabric softener, all of which produced popcorn, I tried Tide blue liquid detergent in the big 1 gallon container from Costco. Success! No popcorn! I'm dropping it 1/4" into a 50 cal ammo can and the coolant temp goes to 100 Deg C at which point I have been quitting. The only down-side is that it takes countless washings to get rid of the soap, but I do have the cleanest garage floor in the neighbourhood!

Maybe I will decrease my drop to 1/4 in as well. I am happy with the shot my fab soft is producing. It is very easy to rinse clean. Just need to up my production somehow. Maybe clogged nipples even though I think I have cleaned them.

I hear ya about clean garage. I smell like a wash machine and my garage is sparkling. I even had someone ask if I irons as well.

Joehunt I took them out of the ladle and heated them with a torch to melt all the lead out of them. I then cleaned the orface with a tool I bought at princess auto for cleaning torch nozzles. One of them fit inside the hole very well. Almost like a bunch of fine pins, cost of about $4. Once that was done I sprayed them inside and out with spray on dry powdered graphite that I believe I picked up at Canadian Tire. Worked great except one which I switched out with a spare I had done the same to. Amazing how well things run when the stars line up.
