Norinco 870 clones are good and for a good price, pick one up at Marstar.
Remington genuine 870's are even better, but a bit more pricey. (pumps)
Mossberg 500's and 590's are very reliable, and tough as hell. (pumps)
Fabarms also make very nice reliable shotties.
Remington 1100's, and 1187's are good semis. Mossy 930's and 935's are also both good semi's.
Benelli cordoba is a very nice semi shotgun, black synthetic to. Benelli m4 is a beautiful pump action.
You could always wait for Dlask to pump out some of their new super shorty 12 gauges.
They are 870 pump actions, black synthetic, pistol grip, and 8.5 inch or 6.5 inch barrels.... NON RESTRICTED!.
Out of all the shotguns mentioned for a general all around good shotgun I would buy a genuine rem 870. They are very reliable, and have tonnes upon tonnes of aftermarket parts and accessories. You cant really go wrong with it.
