Shotgun value

Well again mr back i do appreciate anyone who tried to give me some advice and yes my description was vague but it was what I was given so not being a shotgun guy I wasn't up on your terms of furniture sorry again for that so I am not gonna waste my time on this post any longer so when I decide to be a shotgun guy which will probably be never I will send u a post and u can enlighten me on all the ins and outs of shotgun terminology but until then enjoy your weekend and thank you for all of your wisdom

Hello Csik,

I hope you will not give up so quickly......at times the path in a learning process may initially yield some frustration. I urge you to pursue the shotgun sport and you will find that hitting flying discs in the air can be more enjoyable than just punching paper with a rifle (I try to do both as often as I can :)).

Please do not be easily offended by the responses :) - you will be surprised to find how helpful the same individuals can be in a different scenario. The flow of this thread just took an awkward course, that's all.

I'm really really curious about this gun now.

What is it?

Over/under , single shot, pump, semi-auto?

There big man feel better

Guns, Grouse Man and AA, you are obviously all better men than me. I wouldn't give this guy the time of day in the future. It was his unwarranted response to Hogiron that put me off. I don't think the double and shotgun world needs guys like this. All attitude and self importance.

FYI, furniture does not refer to the wood. Furniture is the visible small metal parts of a double gun: toplever, triggerguard, safety tab, forend release lever, etc. These parts are normally blued.

Yes, this is one of the most misused terms in the Canadian firearms community. Some idiot claimed his gun had synthetic furniture and those that didn't know better took it from there. Gun furniture is almost always blued steel or brass.
