Remarkably, the SKS is often still cheaper than a Mosin Nagant?...

Never really seen a Mosin. I think someone fired one beside me at the range and it almost made me deaf. Rekon I should buy one if they're around an sks price range.
Need another sks to burry too.

Esp. when 7.62x54R ammo is cheaper and more plentiful, Mosin Nagant rifles can be incredibly inexpensive "medium bore" milsurp bolt-action shooting experiences....



They are also one of the few milsurps that I definitely would advise people to hunt-down a sporterized version of (and plenty exist, no "need" to hack-up an original one), because the end of the buttstock seems designed to punish the user!...
