A recent post got me thinking about the more or less rare Glocks that we may have hidden here.
Believe it or not, this is a thing so show em if you got em!

Please, no Gen 4's or 5's, custom coated Gucci glocks or run of the mill g17's.
We're talking the more obscure, hard to find original glocks.

Glocks of color, C models, elderly and the RTF textured variety are welcomed here. I'm curious to see what this thread might unearth.

There was a G17L ported in a Gen1? Didn’t know that! That’s gotta be one of the rarest out there!

Yes, these are extremely rare. Glock came out with them for the competition world, but shooters discovered that the port fins were too thin and would crack and break off when shooting hotter loads. Glock recalled the guns and owners had the option to replaced the barrel with a standard one. Most people sent in for a replacement barrel, so to find a ported barrel that is still intact is very rare.

Wow, now that's an impressive find! I was just reading about this on a different forum. Really cool thanks for sharing.

Do you offer tours?

Is that G19 FDE RTF2 with straight serrations all factory, numbers matching? If it is, that or the same in a 17 size (if it's made) would be my ultimate Glock. Please share more of it.

Unfortunately not. The lower is a LAV edition, upper and barrel are mixed as well. LAV did come out in a 17 as well. h ttps://lipseysguns.com/vickers-tactical-glock-exclusives/

He also did a run in grey. (These aren't mine unfortunately. Pic borrowed from m4)

I'm not even sure if those exist as a factory gun, but still really cool none the less. I've never been a big fan of the fish gill serrations they offered on the standard RTF2's

Sorry not too sure what you mean "exist as a factory gun". They are distributed though Lipseys instead of straight from Glock. They are still made by Glock to Lipsey's (Lipsey's customers) specifications. The LAV edition ser#'s end in "LAV". These color editions are molded in color by Glock, they are not cerakoted/painted etc.

Sorry, I'm really not even sure what I meant. Too much Glock excitement and lack of sleep makes for posts like that.
I think what I meant was, did they even make an FDE RTF2 frame prior or outside of the LAV/Lipseys guns?

Nice...a 21 with a pick rail... thats a hard one to find now.

The pic rail is one thing, but the ambi mag release is what throws people off. As far as I know, this frame doesnt exist in the FDE color but if it did that would be a one of a kind. I know they made a few for what was to be the Joint Combat Pistol trial for the us military but we're never released to the general public as the trial was cancelled.

The serial #'s start with LAV, rather than end with it. They're also the only Glocks to come out of the factory with a good set of sights. This thread makes me wish I'd kept mine.

The Black edition started with LAV, FDE ends in LAV, Grey no LAV markings. Sorry should have been more specific.

My mistake. Because mine was black and started with LAV I assumed that would have been true across all of the colors. Is yours first, or second run of tan?
