Show off your Ruger No.1's

I was lucky to find a Ruger no 3 in 44 mag and it s my favorite carry gun for Deer.Light weight and compact it carries like a dream.Too bad Ruger didn t make more in that cal if they had it still might be made today.

My latest Ruger No. 1, in 6mm Remington no less! My pictures are crap, but I'll get better ones once I get it outdoors.

With my .243 RSI the Roberts didn't make sense for me...

That is a statement that I made less than a year ago... and here I am posting my new"ish" pair of No.1-RSI sibling's... the "little brother" a .257 Roberts on top and the "big brother" a 7X57 on bottom;

My reasoning was that I have an M77 MKII RSI in .243, so I sold my No.1-RSI .243 when I found this Roberts. The medium action cartridges make more sense, or rather, the short action cartridges make less sense, in a single shot platform... well, that is how it went in my head anyway...

Added a .30/06 RSI to the .257 & 7X57; Top - .257 Roberts, Middle - 7X57 Mauser, Bottom - .30/06 Springfield...

Beautiful. The # 1 is just like a pretty girl to me, I just can't stop looking. I'm up to three myself now, a 1B in .270 Wthby, 1A in 35 Whelen and a recently acquired 1A (off the EE) in 7x57 and I'm pretty sure there will be others in my future.

Did you buy Potashminer's 7X57?

The No.1-A .35 Whelen is a peach... I am making a No.1-RSI .308 X 57 at present.

All of these No 1 pics caused me to buy another rifle I did not need LOL. I have a No 1s in 9.3x62 in the mail from Prophet River. I can't wait! Pretty happy with the 2013 prices too. I love my 35 Whelen bolt action I built so I thought I may as well stay with some nice medium bores. Hey you never know when you need to shoot a buffalo here in Saskatchewan. Lol.
