Here is another single shot. It is shown without the hand stop and palm shelf. It has a two stage trigger as well as dovetail grooves. I will be mounting a scope on this rifle.

I had two of this model in the past and regretted letting them go. I've found them to be among the best shooting rifles I've enjoyed and they are equipped with superb triggers, this one at 5.5 ounces as it came to me. I'll be putting a scope on this Spezial rifle.

Nice rifle.
Does is like Center X?
Did you do anything to the trigger?
I would suggest you are using a "soft pillow" approach in regards to cheek-stock contact.

Horseman2: That is your old rifle incase you dont reconise it. The only thing i have changed are the ring to higher offset rings so i dont touch the stock and the front piece of uhmw that is machined to fit into where the hold handstop rail was. I also put a tuner on it. Havent done anything to the trigger. It seems to like the center x just fine. Ive won my fare share of matches with it against alot of anschutz's.

Ps the soft pillow approach is also called laziness .

Yup. This is the three lug bolt found on the Ural, Strela, Taiga, and my running bore prototype gun.

I have a Strella as well, and one day we decided to compare the bolt on it to a Sako TRGS in 3388 Lapua- the Strella is far larger!
My brother bought the Strella many years ago and used too joke that the Soviet weight lifting team used them too work out with!:p
By fa the heaviest free rifle I have ever used, even heavier than the Anschutz!:)
