A very nice collection absolutely beautiful.

Ruger Redhawk. Not as pretty as a smith, trigger is not as good. But she is built like a tank.

Note that the gap at the crane is not as nice fitting as a smith, but every redhawk ive seen is the same. As well the Redhawk locks at the crane and the cylinder.

Sweet wheelies guys, thought I'd throw in a few pictures of my own. Clearly, I'm a Smith & Wesson fanboy.

Let's start with the N frames: a 6" 629-8 Performance Center "Competitor" model (trigger breaks like glass, absolutely amazing!), a 29-2 and a 610-3 (wish it was a no-dash), both 6½". And The Earl thrown in, purely for the sake of contrast, heh.

Both my L frames are a bit odd. The first is a no-dash 586, hacked down to 111mm by some previous owner and fitted with that diamond-patterned trigger/hammer combo. It's probably seen more use than all my other guns combined and somehow feels... shady to me, like it's got a dark past. The second is my own frankengun: A 686-6 fitted with a ported 147mm heavy barrel, red-dot scope and a Miculek thin profile one-piece grip. It's ugly as sin but super accurate and stays on target even when rapid-firing full-power .357s. Crazy fun!

And finally my K frames. An old beat up 17-2 from the early 60s, a 15-5 from 1989 (my first revolver), a gorgeous 66-1 from the late 70s and a rare(ish) 53-2, all 6". The 66 is probably my favourite Smith; love the classic lines in stainless steel, as well as the recessed chambers and pinned barrel, vestiges of a bygone era when S&W didn't compromise quality for profit. The 53 is a short-lived model 17 chambered for the doomed .22 Remington Jet cartridge. It's a hoot to shoot, and I haven't personally experienced the case set-back problem that spelled the demise of an otherwise promising cartridge. Good thing I'm an avid reloader!

You need to get the original grips for that nickel 27 as those are not the right ones. I can tell by how they fit. Great collection.

The front sight is wrong too, somebody put a fibre optic on it prior to the gent I bought it from. I am on the hunt for proper front sight and grips, but even at that a 27-2 nickel with 5" barrel is a rare bird. It sucks that somebody buggered around with it, but I do have original presentation box and papers. Grips and front sight shouldn't be too difficult, and it is worth the effort. I couldn't pass on it because of the barrel length.

Now, if I could just find a really decent 25-2 or -3....dammit! I missed one by a couple minutes last week, looked beauty. One of these days....as the Pink Floyd song says.

I got a buddy on here nicknamed rfo1 he has been collecting smiths for 20 years or so. You could send him a pm, ya never know, he may have a set.
