note :I've had most of the Enfields for 20+ years and haven't used most a couple are Canadian FTR(re-parked in the 50's by C.A.L.)but most are pretty much mint .The 1941 has the original button type cocking piece plus hole in the knob this rifle has seen lots of use as all 1941's should the MP sn is listed in the Mounted police book sorry I don't know the tiltle it's something like RCMP arms and accoutrements (sp)

I must say mr. Hamon, it's unusual to see more then one M1903 in a Canadian collection. Any details on them?

And where are all the bolts from your bolt actions? and how do you keep un-numbered Springfield bolts with the proper rifle??? :)
 
I label them ,I had a very nice 1938 1903 springfield with the "C" type stock that was the only one I liked shooting .i keep the bolts seperate just in case some one breaks in and takes them they will be nice clubs but thats about it .the more unusual of the 1903's is the modified I'm sure you already know what that means .
 
By Modified, do you mean the Remington M1903M - which is a transitional 1903 available ust before the 03A3 was adopted, or do you mean the M1903MkI for Pederson?

If you need to know anything about 1903's, I have the Brophy reference which is the "Lee Enfield Story" of 1903 collecting ;)
 
yes the "M" (modified)and I also have Brophy's book .the rifle is interesting with the rear of the reciever still haveing a bit of the dovetail for the A3 rear sight .Brophy's book dosen't really say a whole lot about it which surprised me I found more info with the guys from Culvers forum .from what I found out the A3 barrel production fell behind during the transition from 1903 to 1903A3 so they used up the 03 barrel stock with the A3 receiver until the A3 barrel production caught up .this M type rifle was only made for (depending on who you beleave) a few months which makes it a little rare I sent the Yanks a few pics they were really quite excited they said you don't see too many .BTW there was a Sedgley(sp) at my local gunstore it was really quite nice it was one of their upper end rifles .I didn't find the excact one in Brophys book but I found the excact one in an old ad from Sedgley posted online . the rifle was post ww2 with a early production Springfield receiver it had nice peep sight installed but the stock had been cracked and repaired so I didn't buy it .it sold cheap I think $350.00 ish

Do you have any close-up pics of the 1903M receiver? I wouldn't mind to see it :)

I curently don't have a nice 1903, believe it or not. I did have a MkI at one time, but it wasn't a great example. I do have a very nice smith corona A3 though.Eventually I'll come across the right M1903 at a local shop and buy it.

I don't think I'll be letting them go I have my eye on a couple more my friend has they are A3's like the day they left the factory .so far as the MKL is concerned if I knew how to post them there I would but I'm very computer dumb I'm surprised I'm able to post them here .if you like I can send you the pics and you can post them on the site
