Filthy creatures!

it's a smoke/fragment grenade discharger ,somewhere around here i have a pic of one mounted on a ferret scout car not really meant to be held in your hands and fired ..but you could

Hand guard is mia, but thats not what is odd about it. Its an example of why you should check before you hack away on a milsurp. Anybody elese want to guess? Sorry about the pics orientation but I cant turn the damm thing around & have it show here. Its upright on photobucket.

Thanks gunasauras, the pics are perfect. I wanted to see exactly what they did on an original sniper when converting it.

It's in pre-1910 configuration. No recoil bolt, no provision for handguard and the swivel is on the mag body ;) Next time ask me something challenging.

Ouch!!!

The last wrist-torquer I saw was a .303 handgun based on a Martini action. Believe it was made in India...

I was under the impression a lot were also made from working enfields for the jawas in the star wars movies, hence my reference. If this is something actually milsurp then I partially recind my statement; jawas are still filthy.

Claven got it! It has provision for a handguard though. The according to sources on the net(aka karl heinz) 1894 was the first year for the handguard. By coincidence its a 1894 tula that was sporterised. Half the parts on it are handmade as the originals are long gone. Try to find a rear sight adjuster for the flat sight. I would be surprised if there were more than 100 of these things left world wide.
