lol im not included in that group, i just put the add up for those that dont mind spending that kinda money. I dont own a snake of any kind. Think id go with a nice vintage smith first anyhow.

Why more money than sense? Do you think those of us who collect Colts and S&W are going to lose money on them? They are a great investment, as well as providing pleasure, whether you are shooting or just polishing. Granted, you need to spend wisely, and not overspend. There are some guns in that ad that have been listed for a long time...so not just everybody is throwing money at any Colt gun that comes along just because it is a Snake.

Yes, that is it exactly. expensive prohibs et al. didn't mean to come across critical of the average collector so sorry if that is how it sounded.

In general, I have no doubt some could be great investments if you 'spend wisely and not overspend' as you say. Only time will tell on the investment side, but from the collector side thoroughly enjoying them in the moment is worth something too.

Nice shooter JJ and that front sight is not common either (special order). Does it have the hollow lug? What shape is the rear sight?

Yes, hollow lug....... the rear sights are different too. The cutout is shaped like a half moon. I think they labeled these as " target sights"
 
HAHAHA man I'm an idiot! I saw this thread and thought it was live snakes and pythons!! I was always thinking it was like funny pictures or something like those threads so never thought to check! today had some down time, and yup STUPID ME! you would think a gun forum I would put pythons together!!
