Show your PYTHONs & Snakes Here +++

Looks way nice in the photo too. Great revolver and I guess the wife is a keeper too! :)

Mike
Definitely a keeper, however, we'll see how things go when I break the news I'm building an AR! As for the photo, I just purchased some Renaissance Wax, to make it look nicer! But I can't wait to dirty the bugger, been too cold!

You have good taste in revolvers!

Thank you sir! I would like to say I would settle for a replica of the Colt SA Army, but it wouldn't be right, and my collection just wouldn't be complete without the real deal!

Here is my snake. first handgun I bought and one of my never sell guns.

Well according to this mine would be a 1978. The serial numbers I checked out didn't list the V for that year. 83 was just a wild guess as I seen the V in the 80's but looking at it again (below) I was mistaken. But it still didn't list a V in 1978. Either way thanks BC Mike.

For anything after 1985 you need to call Colt. They will only tell you the year of production over the phone. For any other information you need to write to the Colt historian.

EPPS shows some spare barrels so their smith could also have some smaller parts. Also seen number of small parts on US Ebay.

where do you see those? all I see are parts for ar-15's and enfields.
LOL..posted this then found em.

Wow! Those are sweeeeet! Don't know if you remember Dan Tanner(Robert Urich). The private eye in the 70's/80's tv series Vegas? He carried one of those beasts. The big long barrel one.

Actually you might be thinking of "Spenser For Hire". Ulrich was the lead but his sometimes partner by the name of "Hawk" played by Avery Brooks carried an 8" Python. I bought mine right after I saw this piece of work on the tv. Alas it is only the 6" version however. I will try take and post pics a little later. Some beautiful revolvers here. Congrats guys.
