Show your reloading benches

Just recently moved into a new house where we have a bit more room. I now have a small basement "office" where I was able to build a new reloading bench with a bit more room. My old bench was just 2'x4' with only one shelf underneath. The new one is 30" x 6 feet, with one lower shelf and 2 upper shelves. It will need some organizing because I just started unpacking moving boxes and filled it up as I emptied boxes. The legs are all 4x4 posts with the rear 2 legs carrying up to support the back/top shelves. There is a frame and 3 additional cross pieces of 2x4's that support a 1.5" thick solid wood top. The top I scavenged from the local transfer station woodpile a few weeks ago when I noticed someone had thrown away an old 10' long solid wood desk. The legs were missing and the drawers were mostly busted off, but I was able to repurpose the top into my new bench. All in all, I'm into this project for $70 worth of lumber

Forgot about this thread, here’s mine currently. I built the upper shelves earlier in the spring/summer, got tired of everything cluttering up the top of the table. I’ve since mounted and wired in a light above the window, have plans to build a second smaller bench for the left hand side corner and a small vertical end shelf.

Nice set up! I'm looing to build shelves like that also

Today's project, using some scrap Oak.

The blocks are 5-1/2" square so the math worked out to create a 7x7 hole grid, lol.

These are drilled with 3/8" Forstner bit, specific to .30-06 family of cartridges. I also make blocks for .375H&H cartridge family.

The smaller 5x5 block is one I made years ago. Due to winter garage congestion I can't easily access the router table, so I'll throw a bevel on these new blocks in the spring.

5-1/2" x 3/4" thick.

And I lower the bit down beside the block until I set the depth just right, then secure the table at that height.
So all the holes are the same depth.

The Oak has really sharp edges so a bevel or round corner with a router bit helps a lot. Plus I think looks nice.

I just got a 3D printer, it's going brrrr right now,. Making some 6.5 Grendel blocks, the red and blue ones were designed for 7.62x54r. But they fit from .338 LM down, the 2 off colour blue are 223. And the stack of 4 blue are labeled 6.6x55 SE.

🙇‍♀️ AHHHHHHHHHH just can't do a block that holds 49 rounds. excuse me while I fall off my chair.
They look very nice tho, but I'll stick with my custom 3D printed ones for now 😉
And now I get to add a new block and case (first version, going to have to refine the print) for the now 65 PRC I get to play with

Newest addition to the loading bench is also 3D printed; I got tired of leaning over to eye up my RCBS balance beam scale.

I drew up a stand and got my buddy to print the stand for me. A much needed upgrade! Scale is nearly at eye level now! I will confess it two tries to get it right…. View attachment 922297View attachment 922298View attachment 922299
Very nice wall but I can see that might be a pain to trickle powder there.
Just a thought but the camera mount I did up for the 505 scale could easily be adapted for the change in scale
https://www.printables.com/model/1069073-rcbs-505-scale-usb-camera-mount, camera is cheap on Amazon, that an old phone is all you need
