I recently moved and had to build a reloading room in my new place. I opted to have it on the main floor this time. The room can be locked, too, which is nice.

I labeled the photos because I'm a dork.

Edit to say: Damn Photobucket!!!!!! Will have to get CGN membership. Will post pics once I figure that out!

My latest bench

So I decided a dedicated room best fit my needs and like many I'm a basement dweller...
Not finished but functional and moved in, when time permits I'll finish it, add better lighting and a steel "safe"entry door.
A few more square feet would have been nice but wasn't an option.
I love my modular bench top, put on what you need and shelf the rest.

Not pretty yet, but highly functional :)

Here's the bench that I just build with ALOT of help from a friend I'm by no means a carpenter but am super happy with how it turned out. Was at a loss for what I wanted for the top, there are a lot of options out there if a guy has unlimited funds but I'm on a budget. Saw a shuffle board table for free outside the local seniors club (had to buy one tho was gone before I could get it) and had a eureka moment I was just gunna repurpose a shuffle board table it already has a beautiful top that's heavy duty, legs, and trim to all make the build simple because it was all already there.

Picked this table up for 60$ mounted the press with some flat plate and cut and restapled trim so I'm all into this bench about 65$ because of the staples used lol.

Bench is 6.5' long and 22" deep

Used My old Oliver stringing machine as the base for a rotating bench. Heavy use presses in the center nearest pedestal.
Used one inch thick hardwood step for top.

Old CH SS press for universal decapping. Tie down to keep it's handle up so doesn't hit my knees.

Plus a Hornady SS LNL on a Lee stand. Will have to make a plate with less flex someday for that one. just took a lee plate plate and drill holes for the hornady where I could. Hornady uses a larger footprint.
A used hanging filing office cabinet for components and 2 tool chests.

Yes, it's tight for space.

What the Oliver stringing machine normally looks like.

It's too bad photobucket has killed so many of these pics. I'm looking to redo my loading room and am particularly interested in the more elaborate gun room/ loading room pics. :)

Gave my setup an update tonight.
Since the main single stage press area was far from powdering, i installed my small single stage near powdering, so i can seat bullets where i powder.
Installed new bigger single stage where smaller was, for the resizing jobs. Since resize does require more torque than bullet seating, i did not want to resize on powdering table and disturb the scale.
Reloading benches are a thing of constant evolutions, new needs arise and we assess them.

I organized my bullet stash under my reloading bench. Nothing like a bit of ballast to keep the table from moving around lol

As a newb into the reloading hobby, I found a ton of useful info in this thread. Specifically, those who used the 4' Canadian Tire
workbenches
when on for half price and the one member who had the great idea to mod the drawers and leave an opening on
one side for better press use......smart cookie!

Like some other, bought 2 of those benches, but modded mine a bit more by adding a "custom" 3/4" plywood top top cover the
entire 8' width, then an 8' one-piece slab of masonite and then some stair edging to add a bit of a bull-nose type edge to hide my
handiwork.

The benches are solid and have created a really great work-space....thanks again to people posting great ideas in this thread!

I then really took my time trying to lay things out well, to make for an efficient workflow, so far very happy with it in practice.

Costco.ca for a great work-bench stool ($69 shipped). Added 4' LED worklight above, also from Costco, bought 2 originally, as
more than a few people said you cannot have too much light, but 1 of these has more than enough, coupled with a couple
smaller table and clamp-on lights I have there as well.

*Note - The Trump ballcap in the top right corner was bought for a joke, before he became prez, thought it was a good home.

Had to push away from the computer before I blew my yearly gun budget in one day being snowbound and all..... Tried to tidy the bench a little for a photo, just ordered interlocking mechanics style floor for and after the inspiration on this thread I'm determined to put the finishing touches on my room!!

The ammo was so scattered in various cabinets that once centralized I realize how busy I need to get on actually rolling some of my own again, scary to be that low - actually thought I had substantially more in reserve :p Might even try the shotshell thing....

Merry HoHo & Happy Reloading,

Dirk
