That's one way. Many are also available brand new from forum sponsors.

Top: 870P purchased used on the EE with 18.5" barrel, 14" 870P barrel purchased separately
Btm: Purchased new, with 14" barrel, as shown, from forum sponsor Bullseye London (also available with 12" barrel) This one actually came with a pistol grip (non-restricted & under 26") I added the full stock.

I forgot to mention, some times you can cut the barrel. For example the btm shotgun in this picture was cut down to 18.5" (note how the overall length is the same as the other shotguns with 14" barrels):

Oh, and the Wingmaster with police wood stock set, seen above, is for sale on the EE if you are looking for one

Does the flashlight fit right onto the magpul foreend or does it need a tiny rail on it too?

There is a short section of Magpul rail mounted on the forend. The flashlight has a built in quick release picatinny mount.
