Sick of my lee decapping die, what's your favourite

I made my own tool for my brass 7.62x39. Steel rod and an old piece of drill bit. Decap by hand using a hammer. Much like the Lee decap per and base sets.
What I have seen on the brass is that the flash hole is not always centered.

I use the Lee universal decapper as well and I've never had any trouble with crimped cases. Sometimes you might need a little minesse if one is really tight or the pin doesn't quite line up with the flash hole right away.

For the $1.90 apiece that they cost, I keep a few spares on hand. Just like the little square plastic doohickeys for the turret press and .223 resizing pins, I consider these to be a consumable.
I broke a Lee decapping rod during the first use - bought a couple replacements and have decapped at least 1000 pieces with no issues.
Make sure the brass is centered in the shell holder and become familiar with the normal force required.
I also broke a Redding decapping rod. I am out of luck there because they don't sell replacements.

Dillon. I usually break one every 7000 rounds.
It's the cost of reloading. They get weak or jammed on a steel pin or a piece of corncob.

I use a Lyman universal decapping die and have never broken a pin on crimped military cases. These cases are then wet tumbled "before" sizing to help prevent scratching the dies and cases.
If you are breaking pins my guess is the pin is off center or berdan cases are sneaking into your resizing die.

Ive bent the crap outta my lyman decapper, just bent it back with a pair of channel locks, depriming still works fine
I find its a little harder to get223 lined up, but other than that I've decapped 5k 308 rounds and 2k 223 rounds with it.

I have a Redding and it has zero issues.
When I am not using it for decapping I use it as a center punch on AR steel, yes, it is that tough.

I've used the RCBS universal deacpping dies, but found that parts can be hard to find if you bend a rod. Currently using the Dillon universal decapping die ... just make sure that it's tight, otherwise the decapping pin might flex on the threads and miss the primer pocket ... then requiring stem and pin replacement.
I realize that I am a little behind here, but I simply decap my brass, no matter what cartridge, with a Lee universal decapper and base. I use the .22 caliber pin for everything. Less fiddling than putting the case in a die and pulling the press lever. YMMV
i use an RCBS universal decapping die. broke the pin the first day i used it because i was a noob. called rcbs and they sent me some new pins for free. havent broken once since then (probably decapped at least 20,000 cases in the last year or so)
