side saddles

Nice rig ↑↑↑ I had a hard time finding an SOE rig so I made one myself a few years ago out of 5:11 and Tactical Tailor stuff.

I'm not in bear country or out backwoods hiking so so this it's fun for me when I'm out at the range. I can see how a quick access side saddle would be good for defense purposes.

Hey, I like that 870P. Where does one acquire them ?

I ordered mine from Brian Hoffner's website, though it seems they no longer offer them.

However they may still be available from the actual manufacturer {whoever that may be} and lots of gun leather accessory makers offer similar setups.

Just google cowboy action leather shotgun belt slide. I also think Triple K leather makes one. Mine also has a half dozen shell loops for 45 or 38 cartridges

Velcro carriers for me because if things get sweaty there is nothing quite so nice as having 4 to 6 extra shells right on the gun. And Velcro allows you to slap on fresh preloaded carriers; if you want to get fancy or fanciful, you can have one all buckshot and one all slugs, whatever you like.

oh yeah, the knife guy, just bought one of his folders.

they weren't on his site so you're correct not selling any longer. I'll do some investigating. thanks

Here’s my diy Velcro belt idea, it works well. I took a shoulder strap off an old camera bag and sewed a Velcro strip on it with the sewing machine, it’s the same size as my belt and the round ends tuck under my belt loops so it doesn’t move around at all. The back of the shoulder strap is non slip and I have 5 six shell cards and a couple shell cards I’ve cut down to hold four shells. I figured I already have the shell cards so why not make something for my belt. Cost me nothing but 10-15 on the sewing machine, I already had the components. Works well for upland game as I’m limited to 2+1, I get two full shotgun loads with one round extra if I happen to bag out and don’t miss.

LOL...this is how much of a newb I am...I thought you were talking horse saddles and wondering why you you'd want to ride side saddle.....

If you grew up in Alberta they were always clips when I was growing up (49 years old now), after a few months on CGN I was corrected many times as them being Magazines. LOL

That's all cool, yes grew up in Alberta but we still called them magazines because we watched lots of Missing In Action, Rambo movies etc.....But I hear yeah, clip probably slipped out a lot..
