P&d, my one stop shopping center everytime I'm back that way for a visit.Good to hear about the selection of Sierra bullets available. As a 'go to' bullet for accuracy, they've always performed well for me in just about any caliber.

On my shopping trip to P&d after I got my 25-06, I picked up a selection of bullets to test, one of which was the Sierra 117gr SBT. They were the first one I tried. In the Sierra manual they seem to favour RE-22 powder in their accuracy loads listed but the closest I had was IMR 4831 & IMR 4350. The other thing I did was to extend the C.O.A.L. to minimize the freebore. After sighting in @ 100 yds I pinned up one of my 'home-made' targets @ 185 yds and shot a three shot group that measured 0.486"Johnn, are those Sierra bullets real accurate? I'm thinking of a .25 caliber Gameking in 100 or 117 gr for antelope (thin, thin skinned). I just can't get the Hornady Interlocks to group tighter than 1.25" (not surprised).
