Sig 226 and related models in 9mm??? Any info and prices?

What is the cost difference on an Elite? This is what he can rent in Sig at the particular gun range in Detroit (some of these have barrel lengths not legal over here so can be excluded):

Sig Sauer

- P220

- P220 Carry

- P226 9mm

- P229 9mm

- P226 .40

- P229 .40

- P229 .357sig

- P232 .380acp

- P239 DAK .40

- P239 DAK 9mm

- P250c 9mm

- Mosquito .22LR

x2!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So the Sig 226 Elite (non-stainless) is about $1200+tax? Anyone have a link to a sponsor website in regards to this pistol? Thanks for the replies. This is the one my friend is seriously considering.

There is slightly more recoil with the .40. Ammo cost is about 30-40% more than 9mm. For someone just starting out, 9mm might be a better option.

x2. I've got both calibers and the 9mm is a better option for accuracy when competing in IPSC, etc. I just did the math, the 40cal has 27% more recoil than the 9mm.

9mm, larger variety of ammo, lighter recoil, much cheaper to shoot than 40, quieter, no need to consider stopping power as its simply a target toy.

x3 on the vote for 9mm ... I only own a single 9mm pistol but I checked out prices for a box of .45 and it's insane, was like $32 + tax for 50 rounds ... compared to 9mm at $15 + tax or even less
