Do you mean something like this:

It says GwA 97k on the receiver, instead of GL5140.
Alright, this thread is not going as planned. My intention was to lure someone with a SIG 40 mm GL 5140 grenade launcher. I know you have it you zealous whore. Yeah, I'm talking to you. PM me.
It's a heavy piece of kit, compared to a Colt M203. It makes the rifle weigh a ton. I wouldn`t want to hump one around all day.Alright, this thread is not going as planned. 1. Remove optic. Why are none of you carbine and CQB guys using an Aimpoint Micro, Zeiss Zpoint, etc? They are the only optics you can use and still get co-witness with the irons - or even use the irons for that matter.... Someone posted that it works. Spending that much money and not having the irons to rely on would bug the crap out of me.....
One day I'll own a carbine...oh yes.....![]()
1. Remove optic.
2. Use irons.
They don't disappear just because you can't co-witness...![]()
or use a low rail and a normal Aimpoint ML2
With my ACOG I can use the irons, too, had to replace the screws from the mount though.
ACOG+TA51 mount is see-through but as noted, the screw is too long and somewhat obscures the sight picture.Low rails are hard to come by here. Do you use a see through mount for the ACOG?

I can understand your opinion that it might be less than ideal. That's not the same as "not having the irons to rely on".Meh - having to remove the optic is not an ideal set up IMO. Especially when there are other quality optic options out there that solve the issue.![]()
