I thought it was Umarex or Walther - the GSG guns have never had structural issues, that I'm aware of.

Maybe not frame or slide problems but definetly small part problems, namely barrel bushings. They have always felt cheap to me. Edit- just read about prematurely bent guide rods this AM and judging by the suppliers response, was a well know entity as well..

I did a quick google and they usually say Mosquitoes are GSG..

ahhhhhhhhhhhh!! i got one too! got it like 2 years ago,,put like 30 rounds through it,,it jammed a bit, i thought it was normal for 22lr..(im not at all a 22 guy)should i sell it for a cz cadet or the obvious ruger mk2,,

I took my Ruger 22/45 apart once and had a hell of a time getting it back together so since then I'm leary to clean the damn thing... Not a big fan of instruction manuals, but it did seem rather challenging. It fights like a champ, tho, and goes boom a very high percentage of the time (there's a couple value brands it gets fussy with but most 500 boxes work fabulous). That is impressive considering my fears have caused me to not clean it for a bit. And you really don't know how many bullets you shoot out of these things b/c there's this awesome game I play quite frequently where I try and see who can unload the mag faster. Repetitively.

Two springs come with that gun, the heavy and the light. Do you know which one you had in? If it would only cycle on Minimags I'm guessing the heavy one was in there. I had a Mosquito and only had one FTE, as long as I had the right spring in there it worked great and shot everything I put into it. Never had any complaints from the guy I sold it to either. Are you 100% sure it wasn't cracked when you got it?
