I just bought a SIG Mosquito for my wife. She has small hands and likes the ergos. I like the fit and finish and it seemed to be put together well.
Today I had it out to the range for the first time and found out a few things - first, I don't like the safety. I want a safety to block the movement of everything so I know it's on when I pull the trigger. The one on the SIG lets you cycle the entire action with no bang.Like dry-firing.
Second, as noted by a lot of people so I knew going in, this thing is really picky on ammo. It will not shoot and/cycle bulk ammo at all. It eats up Remington Viper no problem but I can't find this stuff other than in packs with a knife included. Older hi-velocity Remington does not work at all, and neither does American Eagle 40gr.
I went out this evening and bought a box of CCI Minimag and a couple other boxes of high velocity ammo. Hopefully I can find something that works consistently and that I can buy locally.
Kind of sucks that this thing is so finicky, my S&W 41 and Ruger Mark2 at least shoot the American Eagle stuff.
Later,
Glen
