how easy is it to convert a .40 to a 9mm?
is it just a barrel swap or a conversion barrel,9mm mag and recoil spring?

I’ve had a couple of .45acp P220’s, including an Equinox, and have found them to be solid, well built firearms, that perform very well.
I don’t think you can go wrong with a P220.

Really nice gun! The current Legion version is particularly nice! Very hard to find in Canada. There is one for sale at The Gun Dealer.
