SIG P226 Mk25 Reliability test: Round 2 (MAC)

Looks like his used and broken in MK25 fails exactly like the Legion even though some argued that the MK25 was a hole different weapon and wouldn't fail like the Legion.

It is what it is. It shows how the gun performs under those conditions

When I recently bought my Girsan & Shadow should I asked the seller if he had the sand box the guns were shipped with? You know, clean, lube the gun then stick it in the sand before going forth to do battle with the zombies. Must be a very common happening with guns.

Sheesh I can't remember the last time I went swimming with my trusted blaster tight to my hip. Kinda the same thing as dropping my gun out of a helicopter or freezing it in a block of ice in the back yard. Pretty much the same type of realistic test. The latter two tests certainly sold a lot of Glocks. Maybe this guy is on to something with his Rex Zero test.
Why would anyone ever buy a SIG 226???? Unless......

Have they not done a 1911?

They've all been 9, so I don't know if MAC will go to .45. If they do a 1911 in 9, the 1911 crowd will call fowl. Also, since 1911s aren't single manufacturer and are not to a single spec, you're going to have arguments of "Well, MY Les Brown Combat Hawk Super Deluxe with the Spinning Rims can be dragged though a mile of lava and never skip a beat." I suppose the Colt O1970A1CS is closest current production to original M1911A1, though.

I personally wouldn't have high expectations for any gun in a test like that, I'd just be curious to see any 1911 put up to it. A commander in 9mm, would probably put it closest to what the other guns in the tests are.

Pour sand into your car engine and see how it runs. I get the fact wars are fought in desert environments but the vast majority of handguns aren't used fighting wars. The Shadow2 is a purpose built pistol to shoot IPSC. I have never shot an IPSC match where pressing sand into the gun was part of the match. What is the likelihood of an urban Police Officer ever placing his gun in a sand/mud/water environment? The test is meaningless in 99.9 % of the real world uses for pistols. Glad the pistol this guy promotes sails through it with flying colours. Wonderful. In many ways the market will drive my purchases along with need, budget and purpose.

Build a 1911 loose enough and it will pass this test. Build the same design to shoot 1" groups at 50 yards a,d it likely won't. I suspect most who read this thread have figured the above out. I thought I might chime in on the off chance some don't.

I'd say your correct. I know I don't want action movies for their authenticity, lol.
